Yesterday, 29 lawyers were sworn in by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen, as new Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs).
The new SANs are Chibuike Adindu Nwanne Nwokeukwu, Johnnie Nnaemeka Egwuonwu, Bert Chukwuneta Igwilo, Sylvester Emenike Elema, Ikenna Victor Egbuna, Wilcox Achace Abereton, Michael Abayomi Bisade Alliyu, Akinlolu Oluyinka Osinbajo, Francis Forum Egele, Prof. Enefiok Effiong Essien, Prof. Sadiq Slyvester Shikyl, Prof. Adebambo Anthony Adewopo, Prof. Adedeji Olusegun Adekunle, Olusola Alex Oke, Nasser Abdu Dangiri, Emeka Peter Okpoko, Sani Hussani Garun-Gabbas, Abdul Atadoga Ibrahim, John Olusegun Odubela, Gboyega Sanmi Oyewole, Joshua Yusuf Musa, Ibrahim Sani Mohammed, Festus Egwarewa Keyamo, Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, Oyetola Oshobi, Sulaiman Usman, Chiesonu Igbojamuike Okpoko, Kamaldeen Adeyemi Ajibade and the youngest silk, Kehinde Olamide Ogunwumiju.
The inauguration which was part of the proceedings of a special court session marking the start of the 2017/2018 legal year of the Supreme Court, had in attendance, Lawyers, family and friends of the new SANs.
