Senior advocate of Nigeria, Festus Keyamo has weighed in on discussions following letters recently written by former Nigerian Presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo and Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, criticizing the performance of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking on Channels “Sunday Politics” TV show, Keyamo said that both ex-military heads of state had no solutions to the country’s numerous problems.
“These two leaders cannot show us the roadmap because they had opportunities in the past and bungled them.Babangida spent N40billion on a transition programme to nowhere; eight years to nowhere.
These are people who have been involved in the past in selection process, military coups, and all of that; so they don’t still believe in democracy,”
According to him, Obasanjo tried to amend the Nigerian constitution to suit his failed Third term agenda, recalling a situation where bags of money were found in both chambers of the national assembly.
He, however, advised the Federal government to look into the problems and issues raised by both men in their letters.
