Evans: My Client Was Forced To ‘Implicate Self’, Says Lawyer
Chukwudi Onwuamadike (popularly known as Evans)

Contrary to a report by a national dailies and online publications (not The Metro Lawyer) that kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeje George Onwuamadike alias Evans, has disappeared from custody, the Police has flayed the report.

Police Force Spokesperson, CSP Jimoh Moshood, referred to the report as “blatant falsehood because Evans is intact in police custody”.

According to him, Investigation is still ongoing and the suspect would be charged to court as soon as all ends were tied.

” That headline was misleading. The suspect and his accomplices are very much in our custody. We are working hard to ensure that justice is served at the end of the day.

“Evans is with the police. His whereabouts is known but cannot be made public. We are appealing to Nigerians to remain calm and support the police to conclude its investigation.”

According to the nation, Evans was relocated to a maximum security cell in Abuja for his protection, following the disclosure of his former location by a national newspaper.
