The recent economic challenges faced by various countries of the World due to decline in oil prices, environmental and social declines have prompted forward thinking governments to look inwards and promote a nationalistic outlook.
Also, the Small and Medium Scale Enterprises must be pushed from the INFORMAL to the FORMAL sector to be able to have a meaningful impact in our national and economic development. This focus on Nationalism is characterized by greater dependence on internal capacity and production.
In view of this need to build capacity and promote locally made products and local businesses, creative lawyer, businesswoman and CEO of CLEMSVILLE EVENTS AND BRAND PROMOTIONS LIMITED, Nkechi Chukwuemeka and her creative team came up with a theme tagged: the “Sizzling Naija SME™” for the showcase of local businesses, indigenous services and Made-in-Naija product.
Speaking on the event, she says it is vendor show like none other which launch starts in Abuja on the 25th and 26th 0f November at the Maitama Amusement Park by 10am-8pm daily.
Chukwuemeka states that she has always had interest in start ups, especially the creativity that goes into some of what they do.
An LLM student of Intellectual Property, Entertainment and Sports Law, she says her scholarship has given her a lot of insight as to the commercial needs of Creative people, the business community, start ups and SMEs, and also the need for them to know about their intellectual property rights and how to go about protecting them.
The show is a family fair and non discriminatory to both gender and age with lots of music, games and fun interactions to make shopping in the show very interesting and exciting.
The Sizzling SME show continues in other cities with different editions running across the country for the whole year.
Don’t miss buying directly from the manufacturers, and what a fun way to start the Christmas shopping!!
